Virginia I. Williams

Concord, NH — Virginia I. Williams, 91, of Pleasant View Retirement died March 16, 2022. Born in Harrisonburg, Va, she was the daughter of Theodore R. Jones and Irene H. Jones. She graduated Kingston High School in Shaverton, PA, 1949. She received her nursing certificate from the School of Nursing at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital Kingston, PA. in 1952 and subsequently from The University of Pittsburg, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology nursing 1955. That same year, she married Warren F. Williams.

She worked at Windsor Hospital in Chagrin Falls, OH, Seminole Point in Sunnapee, NH and Catholic Medical Center Manchester, NH in substance abuse. She was a founding member of The Forge Theater in Phoenixville Pa.

Virginia had many interests including cooking, gardening, quilting, sewing, reading and music.

She was preceded in death by her husband Warren F. Williams of 65 years, Her brother, Theodore Jones. She is survived by her four children; Neil of Exeter, NH, Bruce of Umatilla, OR, and twins Matthew of Bowling Green, KY and Audrey Carr of Dublin, OH, as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. Any donations can be made in the name of Virginia I. Williams to Doctors Without Borders.

We were sad when Ginny and Warren left Warner. I remember her as an active Woman's Club member, among other community activities. She was a very thoughtful and soft spoken person. My sympathy to her family.
