William Ray Obituary
He is survived by his wife Sue Ray, brother; Joseph Ray and his wife Nadeen, sister; Barbara Hopper and her husband Fred, brother; Michael Ray, several nieces and nephews and their golden retriever Riley.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
Donations may be made in Billy's memory to the Pope Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Rd. Concord NH 03301.
The Waters Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

He was my second Dad and you were my second mom. You both molded me in to the person I have become, I will miss him more then I can even handle. Billy taught me so much and showed his love and compassion for everyone and everything he believed in. I know he´s with me every day and I will continue his legacy. Sue, I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. You and Billy were always so welcoming with a smile and hello to all the regulars that patronized Beefside; I've missed your smiling faces since you sold the restaurant last year. Ever since when I visit Beefside, I find myself wondering how you were both doing in retirement and it's very sad to hear Billy has gone so soon.

Sue. I was so sad to hear the news about Billy! I was your coffee man for years and I can honestly say that he was one of my favorite customers. He had a real knack for making a person feel better after a conversation with him. I know you have lots of good memories and I hope that and time will be some comfort for you. So sorry to learn of Billy's passing. Bedside in the early days was the only restaurant you could get a fabulous roast beef sandwich late at night. Billy would always stop and chat at our table. Sue, so very sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We met this great man right after he opened Beefside. He alway spoke to us when we went to Beefside. The same if we were out and about and met up with him and Sue. They are a fantastic couple. God bless Billy and please keep Sue safe. Rest In Peace my friend.

I am so sadden to hear about Billy. I met him soon after he opened Beefside and ate there often. Over the years I also met Sue and thought what a wonderful couple they were. Billy never failed to greet a customer with a smile and he remembered, and often reminded me, of things we had talked about years before. Sleep well my friend, and may your memory be eternal.

As a long time customer of Beefside, I was saddened by the news of Billy's passing. He was always so friendly and accommodating to those of us when he was in the dining room. I would have loved to have known him better. My condolences to Sue and the entire family.

Billy will be greatly missed by many. He always had a smile and kind word for us when we saw him at the restaurant. While his physical presence may no longer be with us he made an indelible mark on those of us who spent many lunches and dinners at Beefside and his presence will continue to be felt. Billy was the best friend a person could have. I have many wonderful memories of Billy and Sue when we were all gathered at the Red Blazer throwing peanuts at each other and dancing. After we all headed over to Beefside to continue and get something to eat. Miss you already Billy!

You and Billy were the best. Beefside was and is one of my favorites and I always enjoyed seeing you both when I went there.
When a raffle was held for my sons unit when he was in Iraq, not only did Billy give a gift certificate for the raffle but he also put a hundred dollar bill in the envelope I picked up. I called him as I thought it was a mistake but it was not. He was so generous in his support of veterans and a down to earth nice guy.
So very sorry that he was taken away from you. He was too young.
