Master A'kari Taylin Mutcherson

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved A'kari Taylin Mutcherson, age 5, on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in Pooler, Georgia.

A'kari was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. A natural explorer and climber, he was full of energy, joy, and curiosity. He loved building forts with his blankets, playing with his favorite blocks and balls, and snuggling his treasured blue dolphin blanket wherever he went. Movies brought him comfort and smiles, especially Moana, where he had a special affection for Maui, the bold and funny demigod.

A'kari attended C.A.B.S., where he received high-quality ABA therapy and flourished in an environment filled with love and support. His beautiful spirit and bright smile will forever be remembered by all who had the honor to know him.

A'kari leaves behind a family who will always cherish his memory. He is survived by his loving mother, T'Keyah Jones, and father, Ivey Mutcherson, Jr.; his siblings: Ja'korien, Aa'Layah, Andre, and Aa'monii Mutcherson; maternal grandmother, Cornelia Bernard; maternal grandfather, Gerald Jones; paternal grandfather, Ivey "Jimmy" Mutcherson, Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Jeanette Riley (Eric).

He is also lovingly remembered by his maternal aunts and uncles: Gerald Jones, Jr., Jaleel Jones, Jailyn Jones, and Tytiana Kelley, paternal aunts and uncles: Vanessa Gilmore (Roderick), Nechell Brown (Antonio), Catrice Hamilton, and Joziah Gaines.

A'kari shared a special bond with his best friend, Tina Williams, and was deeply loved by his godparents, Shmoy Hamilton and Vincent.

Though his time here was brief, A'kari's love, laughter, and light will forever remain in our hearts.
