Arthur Stahl, Obituary

U.S. Veteran

Mr. Arthur M. "Art" Stahl, Sr., 82, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at his home.

Art will be missed by his wife of 61 years, Joy Stahl; his son, Stephen Stahl (Jennifer); his grandsons, Chris Stahl, Jr., Nick Stahl, Colby Stahl, and Ryan Stahl; sister, Jean Baldwin, and a number of nieces and nephews. Art was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Chris Stahl and Arthur M. "Marty" Stahl, Jr. He was his grandsons biggest fan, never missing an event.

Art was born in Illinois and grew up on a farm that helped shape his great work ethic. Growing up he played every sport that he could play. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of Gateway Church. He lived in Faulkville for many years where helped raise the neighborhood kids and coached his sons in sports. He worked at UPS, and in the trucking industry where he dispatched, drove trucks and owned and operated his own trucking company. He will be remembered for being able to fix anything, for being family oriented, patient, soft spoken, and for being a gentle man. He was a gentle giant and will certainly be missed.

The visitation will be on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Art's life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
