Billie Sue Logue Obituary

Billie Sue "Bebe" Stoudenmire Logue was born in Saluda, SC on Friday, September 13, 1935, and departed her earthly life on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Bebe graduated from Dreher High School, Columbia, SC, class of 1954 – a class of wonderful people. After high school, Bebe entered nursing school at the old Richmond County Hospital. At that time, one could not have a nursing career and be married. So, on January 29, 1956, she married the love of her life, Clarence R. "Bunny" Logue and moved to Savannah – where she lived, worked and raised her family for the next 48 years.

Bebe's first profession was with Dr. Arthur Charmatz, with whom she was employed for many years until she decided to completely change careers and went to work for U.S. Customs Service until her retirement in 2001.

Bebe was the proud mother of 2 sons and a daughter. Her greatest fulfillment was caring for and participating in their lives. She loved volunteering in school and church activities which continued into the lives of her two beautiful, beloved granddaughters.

After the sudden death of Bunny, Bebe moved back to Lexington, SC. She belonged to St. James Catholic church in Savannah and attended the Barnyard Worship Center in Lexington.

Bebe had many interests in her life, but Jesus Christ has always been predominant. "He blessed me with all my loved ones, including my dearest friends in Savannah. I feel blessed to have so many wonderful, caring people in my life." She continued to say: "My two granddaughters hold an honored position in my heart. I'm so thankful for the active part I shared in their lives. They called me 'Mama Bebe' when they were little girls but now call me Bebe or any cute loving name they can think of."

Bebe leaves behind her brother Leon Dreher Stoudenmire (Lynn), son William Stoney "Billy" Logue, daughter Patricia Ann "Tricia" Howard (Greg), granddaughters Hannah Elizabeth Durden (Colby), Olivia Capri Henry (Jared), cousins and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her dear parents, Willie Dreher and Naomi Sharpe Stoudenmire, her beloved husband Clarence R. "Bunny" Logue, Bebe is preceded in death by her companion James O. Freeman, her sweet baby girl Elizabeth Susanne and her loving son Clarence R. "Clay" Logue, Jr.

A special thank you is extended to ALL the wonderful people who helped care for Bebe during her illness. You treated her with dignity and compassion, and we are eternally grateful.

I worked with Billie at Savannah Family Practice. Billie was a sweetheart. She made the most delicious chili and Tuna or chicken salad with nuts and grapes for our potluck lunches. My sincere condolences to her family.
