Edward Kiernan Obituary

Edward "Ed" Phillip Kiernan, 69, of the Bronx, NY, passed away on October 14th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and adventure. Born on September 3, 1956, in the Bronx, New York, Ed grew up with the grit and determination that only a true New Yorker could carry. He was the beloved son of James Patrick Kiernan and Catherine Hufnagle-Kiernan.

Ed proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, where he embodied the values of discipline, courage, and honor. His service shaped his strong character and was a source of great pride throughout his life.

After his time in the Army, Ed followed his passion for the open road. A lifelong Harley Davidson enthusiast, he found freedom and joy behind the handlebars of his bike. Riding was never just a pastime for Ed-it was his way of life. He loved the camaraderie of fellow riders, the roar of the engine, and the endless horizon of the highway.

Beyond his love for motorcycles, Ed's greatest devotion was to his family. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Dorothy Mae Bidwell-Kiernan, and his beloved son, Dustin James Kiernan, along with Dustin's wife, Katlyn Elizabeth Kiernan, who brought him joy and pride every day. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Ann Boyle, Kathleen Ellen Macey, and Annette Theresa Hopman; his brother James Patrick Kiernan; and nine nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Eddie.

Ed's heart was as big as his smile, especially when it came to his animals. His loyal pittie, Cookie Monster, rarely left his side and was his constant shadow, a faithful companion to the very end.

Those who knew Ed will remember his humor, his generosity, and his unwavering sense of loyalty. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back, share a good laugh over a story, and always be there when you needed him. He lived life with passion, whether it was through his service, his rides, or the love he poured into his family.

Though Ed has ridden his final road, his spirit will forever echo in the laughter of his family, the rumble of a Harley engine, and the love of those whose lives he touched.
