Encarnacion Bolaños, 83, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at her home with family by her side. She was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to the late Bonifacio and Angelina Aponte. She lived in New York for over 60 years prior to moving to Savannah. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving is her husband of over 50 years, Jorge A. Bolaños of Savannah, daughter, Daisy Rodríguez-Morgan (Lyle) of Guyton, GA, son, Jorge L. Bolaños (Angie) of Savannah, five grandchildren, Steve Rodríguez, Samantha Bermudez, Andrew Bolaños, Morgan Via, and Jorge J. Bolaños, and also four great-grandchildren, Isabelle Bolaños, Oliver Bolaños, Kathryn Via, and Emma Via. She is also survived by her siblings, Ana Ramos, Teresa Aponte Delgado, Carlos Aponte, Hector Aponte (Wiso), Bonifacio Aponte Jr, Rafael Sanchez Jr, Gloria Sanchez, and David Sanchez, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1707 Bull Street, Savannah, GA.

Burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery.
