James Allen Obituary

Mr. James Monroe Allen, 80, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at his home.

James was born in Canton, Ohio and had lived in Bloomingdale for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 27 years, Linda Lea Price Allen; his parents, Leonard Earl Hardie and Emma Elizabeth Piper; Rose's son, Charles Robert Strosnider, Jr. "Chuck", and Rose's son-in-law, Pastor Greg Van Gorp. James served his country in the United States Navy, having been aboard the U.S.S. White Plains. He attended the Keren Ohr Messianic Synagogue, Alive Church and The Bridge Church-Savannah. He had been an active leader in both the Royal Rangers and Frontier Camping Fraternity, and he had also done missionary work. James retired from Harrison Paint. He will be missed by his family.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Allen; son: Randolph Scott Allen (Kathleen); Rose's daughter, Donna Van Gorp; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service to honor James' life will be on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Keren Ohr Messianic Synagogue located at 109 U.S. Highway 80, Bloomingdale, Georgia.
