Joye Letourneau Obituary

Rincon – Joye Waters Letourneau, 79, passed away August 26, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

The Evans County native retired from Memorial Health. She was a very active member of Emmanuel Community Church where she enjoyed community outreach. She was also an author of 3 books.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Taft and Sula Cribbs Waters; sisters, Annette Strickland and Marjorie Ray; and brother, William Averette Waters.

Survivors include her son, Mike Ange (Amber); grandchildren, Caleb Gonsalves (Gabby) and Aaron Gonsalves; great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Elena, and Cade Gonsalves; sister, Sylvia Hollis; step-sister, Ruby Hatchell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025 at Emmanuel Community Church followed by funeral services at 1 p.m., 4014 Blue Jay Road, Guyton, GA 31312.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers , please send remembrances to Hospice of Savannah, GA.
