WAYNE ARLEN FORCE Wayne Arlen Force, 81, of Lutsen, Minnesota, passed away on June 19, 2024 at North Shore Health with his loving partner, Lois, by his bedside. Wayne's stroke on December 6, 2011 left him bravely confronting health issues throughout the years. He was happy to call our cozy cabin on his beloved Lake Superior, home, for 11 years. Wayne was born in Fosston, Minnesota. He worked 40 years for the City of Bloomington, Minnesota while earning his civil engineering degree at the University of Minnesota. Always, Wayne's greatest aspiration was to spend as much time as he could on the North Shore. It revitalized his soul. Wayne is survived by his longtime partner, Lois Steven; his former wife, Kathy Corey; children, Julie Boyle (Cliff) and Craig Force; grandchildren, Nicole McMaster, Tim (Mary) Borman, Emily Boyle, Justen Force and Treven Force; great grandchildren, Brendan McMaster, Michael McMaster, Michelle McMaster and T.J. Borman. You will forever be missed and always in our hearts. "Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own." H. Those kindnesses can never be measured. Mike would bring "Wayno" fresh caught lake trout as he felt Wayne ought to be eating more fish. Wayne thought so, too. You were Wayne's fave, Mike. We are grateful for the assistance given us by Care Partners of Cook County who, with the many services provided, made it possible for us to stay together in our home and, gave us hope. We are thankful for the Lutsen First Responders; extraordinarily knowledgeable and empathetic people with first-class values. I am so grateful for the compassion you afforded Wayne during the countless calls responded to. Our home health nurse was our angel. As I wasn't able to get Wayne to the clinic, Traci Allen visited and examined Wayne to ensure he was doing well. And, she gave me numerous suggestions on ways to make Wayne comfortable and safe. Thank you dear Traci. I deeply appreciate the nursing teams at North Shore Health who cared for Wayne. You provided exceptional care, and we could not have had a kinder group of professionals. Thanks so very much. A Celebration of Life for Wayne will be held at a later date on Lake Superior for family and friends.
