Carol J. Hackenbracht

COSHOCTON: Carol J. Hackenbracht, 63, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away at Lafayette Pointe Care Center, West Lafayette, Ohio, on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

She was born in Coshocton, Ohio, on February 13, 1951, the daughter of Ellwood and Dorothy (Lanzer) Mason. Carol was a homemaker, and life time member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Coshocton, a member of the International Order of Job's Daughters Bethel #46, and enjoyed knitting and craft work.

On August 12, 1989, she married Phillip D. Hackenbracht, who survives; she is also survived by one son, Terry J. Corder of Coshocton; one grandchild, Nadine D. Corder, one great-grandchild, Aries M. Laflin; three sisters, Ruth Ann Richissin, Janet Gosser, Judith (Robert) Pingle all of Coshocton; one brother, James (Ljane) Mason of Coshocton; two sisters-in-law, Carol Ambrose of Curtice, Ohio, and Linda Hackenbracht of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by one son, Michael Corder; one nephew, John Pingle; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Richissin, and Martin Gosser.

A funeral service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 808 Orange St. Coshocton, Ohio, 43812, on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 1:00pm, with Rev. Joanna Lance officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette, Ohio. The family will greet friends and neighbors at Given-Dawson Funeral Home, 186 Park Ave., Coshocton, Ohio, on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 6-8pm, and then one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
