Arleen LeClair Obituary

Arleen June LeClair
July 21, 1954 – March 12, 2026

Arleen June LeClair, 71, of Ethete, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her home.

She was born July 21, 1954, in Lander, Wyoming, to Ben Snyder and Mildred (Gibson) Snyder. Arleen grew up in the Crowheart and Fort Washakie areas, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Lander Valley High School.

On June 6, 1983, she married Curtis LeClair, Sr. in Jackson, Wyoming. Together, they made their home in the Ethete area, where Arleen ranched with her family for over 40 years. One of her greatest joys was springtime watching the new calves.

Arleen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and activities. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Her hobbies included rock hunting, gardening, sewing, beading, and exploring. She had a deep love for hunting and camping. Arleen will be remembered for always being willing to help others and for going above and beyond for her family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Alan LeClair and Curtis LeClair; her daughter, Rose Norris and her husband, Russ; her two step-sons, Lisle Monroe and his wife, Stella, and Thomas Brunswick and his wife, Jennifer; her brother, Ben Snyder, Jr. and his wife, Maria; and her two sisters, Judy LeClair and her husband, Sonny, and Roxann Phillips; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mildred Snyder; her husband, Curtis LeClair, Sr.; her brother, Stephen Snyder; her sister, Fern Schneider; and her grandson, Justin "Beaver" Norris.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned, as Arleen wished for her family and friends to remember her in their own way.

So absolutely sorry to hear of Arlene´s passing. She was younger than he sister, Fern, and me. We visited on the school bus taking us to the Lander High School every day from Hines General grocery store. Both girls were very special to me. Wwe laughed and joked; both had such great sences of humor. After school we lost touch but I´ll never forget how wonderful it was to have them as friends.
