Claude Creamer Obituary

Claude Wendell Creamer, 80, entered into Heaven on May 6, 2017. Preceded in death by his father, Claude Franklin Creamer, his mother Hazel Mae Creamer, his sister Betty Hopson and brother in law Billy Hopson. Wendell is survived by the love of his life and wife of 57 years, Barbara Fay (Evans) Creamer, his daughter and son-in law Kristi & Greg Beaty and his son and daughter-in law, Cory & Amy Creamer. Grandchildren Candace, Samantha & Pierce Beaty and Chylan & Michaely Blair, his brother Robert (Bobby) Creamer and sister Gail Creamer Alsup and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Wendell will be on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2pm at First Christian Church Granbury, 2109 W. Hwy 377, Granbury, Texas 76048. The family will receive guests after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the church.

Wendell was a lover of life. His wife, Barbara, was the absolute love of his life. He was the proud father to Kristi and Cory and the EXTREMELY proud grandfather of his five grandchildren. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of '58. He loved gardening and growing things, golfing, and most of all fishing. He always knew how to make people smile and laugh. He will be greatly missed.

To Cory & Barbara & the whole family: I'm so sorry for your loss. Just remember that it is only a temporary separation! The apostle Paul said, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!" Praise the Lord for the resurrection! How do unbelievers make it through times like this? Thank God...you will never know, and neither will I! My thoughts and prayers are for you all, and I love you.

Dear Barbara, -Wendell and I served in the U.S. Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base together during 1960. He was a great leader of our flight and we all liked and respected him. He would make us laugh during tough basic training experiences and is someone I will never forget. He has recently entered my mind and I felt compelled to google search him. I was saddened to learn he passed recently. I have a son who lives in Austin, TX and had hoped to find Wendell sometime. Now I look forward to seeing him in heaven. I enclosed a picture of he and I at the entry of our barracks 57 years ago. May God bless you and your family in this sad time of healing. Wendell was special as we both know. Best Wishes, Emil Schultz ([email protected]

To Mr. Creamer's family,

It was such a privilege to know him and visit with him when he would come in for help with his hearing. I will always remember the birthday cake he brought me last year that he had his wife make. It was such a kind gesture.

My sympathies

Your footsteps have left a beautiful imprint on this world as surely they will too in heaven. Thank you for being a wonderful role model to all of us Duncanville kids growing up.
