The Lord needed someone to keep things running on time in heaven and he sure picked the right man for the job. Will miss your smiling face timing us in and out at rides. Your smile and wit around camp were contagious and your kindness legendary. Rest in Peace my friend.

I will always have fond memories of Cork Weir. He was such a gentleman and always kind to everyone. I am so fortunate to have had the previledge to meet him and compete with his wife and daughter. My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow. God must have had an opening for a "timer" in heaven. Happy Trails, Cork! God Bless. We'll all ride together again on the other side.

Cork was one of the first people I met 9 years ago while I was Volunteering and then competing at NATRC rides. He was very friendly and made me feel at ease when I did my first CTR ride. Cork was seen EVERYWHERE (it seemed) in camp lending a hand with one thing or another.
I feel honored to have known him, and I know he is looking at us from a beautiful place in heaven and wishing us all safe travels. God speed, Cork.

Katie and family, May the Lord watch over you during this time of mourning.

When JD was Cork's "assistant timer", they spent hours and hours sharing loads of stories while waiting for us riders to return to camp. As with so many other timers, Cork trained JD in the art of timing.

We all loved and respected Cork. As Roger Garlitz said, Cork will be at the Pearly Gates timing each of us in to Heaven. We will miss him.

Cork was one of the dearest people I have known. He was a major part of our NATRC family and was always there for us. He will be genuinely missed by all.

My grandpa was a truly wonderful man. If he gave you a nickname or told a joke at your expense, then you knew he loved you. I loved listening to his stories about his life experiences including his father's colorful life, growing up on a farm and his days at NASA. Some of my favorite memories are from my childhood when I would spend at least 1week every summer with my grandpa slopping the hogs, feeding the calf and stealing tomatoes and watermelons off the vines in his garden (He never told me he knew what I had done, but I suspect the red stains down the front of my shirt have me away). Though he only completed the 8th grade, he was one of the most mechanically inclined people I have ever known. When I had a lemon of a car in college which kept dying due to fuel issues, he gave me simple instructions on how to clear the fuel filter and loaded me up with 5 extra fuel filters just in case. He also valued education, and I remember the pride he felt when I graduated summa cum laude from Baylor (He never told me he was proud of me, but the 12 graduation programs he was holding gave him away). I miss you, Grandpa and look forward to seeing you aga

My grandpa was an amazing person. I loved hearing all of his jokes and stories, and am sure I only know a handful of them. One of my favorite memories is when my brother and I go to stay with him for a few days. We rode horses, worked outside, and made the best homemade peach ice cream anyone could ever have. He will be greatly missed.
