I am so sorry to hear about Pastor Dan´s passing. I rejoice with him. Brother Dan helped me begin my ministry 42 years ago, and in the depth of my soul I always considered him to be my pastor. I wish my condolences to Miss Grace and the family.

Pastor Dan was our Pastor in Midland. My daughters were taught there. He married my husband Steve and I over 30 years ago. We have spoken in our home often about Dan and Grace, always with love and the most pleasant memories.

I enjoyed my visits with Dan when I was in the area as a fellow graduate of Regent College, a fellow pastor in Washington state, and as a representative of the US foundation of the school. Dan always received me graciously and we enjoyed sharing memories of Regent. I also remember that his wife, Grace Ellen, painted an original art piece for each Sunday's service for Dan's sermon. This was an impressive act of love and respect for his good service to the Lord. I didn't know until now that his youngest son, Darrel, also became a pastor. This is another example of great honor and respect for Dan from his family. May the Lord watch over and bless his family and the people Dan touched in ministry over many decades in his service to Jesus our Lord.

Dan was my upper class man by one year in Tomball High School. We both were FFA members and raised commercial steers to show at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I had a pen of 3 steers. Dan was the only Tomball FFA student with a pen of 10 Steers. After graduation from THS, Dan became a preacher and I became a veterinarian. In 1971 my wife Gloria and I opened Tomball Animal Hospital. Dan was the new pastor at Decker´s Chapel and he came to visit us. He became my volunteer assistant surgeon. We had many nice conversations over my surgery table. It was not long before we became members of Decker´s Chapel. I cherish those good old days. Dan will be greatly missed. Tony Foltin
