Eric Michael McCarthy was born on September 2, 1987 in Humble, Texas and passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2013 in Conroe, Texas. Eric is survived by his wife, Amber Lynn Lucas; son, Tanner Michael McCarthy; parents, Irma R. & Dave Ward; father, Matthew Wayne Pouncey; mother and father-in-law, Scott and Becky Overton; grandparents, Esther and Mike Oropeza, Carl and Linda Pouncey, Paul and Judy Babb; brother, Michael Wayne Pouncey; sisters, Maria D. Pouncey and Brianna C. Ward; sister-in-law, Shelby Overton; aunts and uncles, Juan Rodriguez, Paul Babb, Jr., Joshua Pouncey; Melissa J. Pouncey, Sara Rodriguez; Margaret and Laaman Ramirez, Vickie and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, great aunts and uncles, and Michael Figeroa, friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Abundant Life Church in Willis, TX. Internment was held at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, TX.

Still can't believe you are gone.......even though we didn't get to see each other very often I'm glad I got to grow up with you. I'm glad our dads were friends. You brought a light into my life.....just never realized it until you were gone. Love and miss you.

Amber, Tanner, Matthew, Irma, Dave and family. So very sorry for your loss. Eric was a good "kid" as I called him, always so polite and quiet, when he would make his payments at Amigo Motors.
