Everett Watson Obituary

Everett ‘Spot' Watson
Air Force Veteran
Everett ‘Spot' Watson, age 78, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. Everett was born to Everett and Doris Hudson Watson in Patterson, New York on July 30, 1935. Everett is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Elvira Ann ‘Ellie' Agens Watson; his mother; his father; and his brothers: William, Charles, Eugene, and Milton ‘Butch' Watson.
Everett was an Air Force Veteran, an active member of the Eagles Aeiri #588, and a coach of youth sports. He was honored by the Norwalk Athletic Association and placed on their Wall of Fame, he umpired girl's and men's softball, and he was the equipment manager for The Norwalk Hotshots. Everett was also an avid bowler and horseshoe player. He was a retired warehouse manager for Albany Products in Norwalk.
Everett is survived by his children: David Watson of Greenwich, Sheree and Richard McSally of Monroe, Michael and Carol Watson of Norwalk, Yvonne DeLong of Lexington; Kentucky, and Dwayne and Michele Watson of Norwalk. He is also survived by one brother, Richard ‘Skip' Watson, of Weathersfield, Vermont; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 10 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd. Norwalk; with burial and full military honors to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Everett's family will receive friends at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to The American Heart Association.
