La Jean, I just learned about Fred a few days ago and it was just recently I saw you. I can't tell you how sad I am for you and your family. reading the words of Jimmy Ward were the stories I used to hear From Freddie's sister, Barbara. She adored her brother. He was a wonderful man and I had occasions to see that, myself. I am so saddened by your loss and for your whole family. What a
lovely man he was. Please know you are in my prayers.

Mrs. Fredricksen and family of Freddie. I worked with him at Skytop/Brewster back in the 1970's, as H.R. Manager there, and he was a person who always stood out, his world of friends and contacts was endless; he never met a stranger and he had the most incredible sense of humor. Sincere sympathy to all of you bearing this loss of Freddie. All of us at Skytop/Brewster would easily and happily remember him. Sincerely, Karen Beatty Holleyhead

It is with a heavy heart that I sign this book, I knew Freddie Fredricksen as my Uncle, a brother, a father and a business man. As an Uncle he was the ultimate in cool. He took me to my first baseball game at the Astrodome. I am an Astros fan till this day. As kids my brothers, Ralph and Freddie, and my sister Fran and I would visit in the summers and have a blast swimming in the pool and pond, fishing, playing in the game room (Captain Fantastic) and snake hunting.

As a brother, I can tell you no cared more about mom than her brother Freddie. I remember them playing gin together and he was either the worst gin player ever or he liked letting my mom win so she had a little extra spending money. When the family was having a rough time we moved to Conroe so we could be closer to my Uncle. Thank god for that!

As a father my uncle took care of his family and had the best work work ethic I have ever seen. He was the ultimate provider.

I remember my uncle telling me before I went to college to go into computers, this was 1982. Pretty good insight but I wanted to go into the oil business and be like my Uncle. He traveled the world, had nice cars, had nice clothes and had all of the greatest toys. He was always having fun! Not a bad role model, I think I turned out ok, thanks Uncle.

It's tough saying goodby to someone who has been such a important and fun part of my life, I loved you Uncle, Thanks for everything.

Mr. Fred,

You are an incredible man who believed in me, one that helped me along in everything I was involved in, pushing me every step of the way saying don't ever settle for anything less than perfect. You took me under your wing and found me employment with you and taught me your knowledge and drive. You helped me into the tool business from your contacts with Ingersoll-Rand which has provided and blessed my beautiful family for many years. Without you I will be lost for a short period but I will find you again.Thank you for equipping me, and thank you for pouring out your blessings on me. And most of all, thank you for being my mentor. You were like a father to me.
