John Weisinger Obituary

John Earl Weisinger passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2025, in Conroe, Texas. John was born February 5,1938. He was 87 years old.

John Earl was born and raised in Conroe Texas. He is proceeded in death by his parents Louie and Mary Weisinger, Brother Louis Weisinger and his first son Cliff Robert Weisinger. John graduated from Conroe High School in 1956. He met his high school sweetheart the love of his life Sue Carol Scott, and they married July 19, 1957. They moved to Huntsville, Texas and John attended and graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College August 26, 1960, with a degree in Industrial Arts. After he graduated, they moved back to Conroe. John served in the Army Reserves. He received an Honorable Discharge January 31, 1963.

John worked different jobs, but his love of hard work began in the water well industry. He worked alongside his father-in-law Ralph Scott drilling and servicing water wells. John ventured and founded his own company Weisinger Water Well in 1975 working alongside his beloved wife Sue. They started the business working out of their home servicing the public. The company quickly expanded and grew. Together they built a successful business with the foundation being their family name and good reputation. John became active in the Texas Water Well Association. He first became involved in the Gulf Coast Ground Water Chapter, later serving on the State of Texas Board of Directors and served as President for the Texas Water Well Association for the State of Texas. John was also a past advisor to the Ground Water Age Magazine. He was well known for his active involvement changing the industry and standards.

John Earl never met a stranger. He traveled around the state and across the country meeting people from all over the place. The first thing he would ask someone..."Where are you from?" John loved a good meal and would travel far if someone told him about a great place to eat. John and his hometown buddies would travel across the state watching high school football teams play and follow the teams if they made the playoffs. But John's first love was being with his family.

John Earl, also known as "Papoo" to the family is survived by his wife Sue Carol. They spent over 67 years together as soulmates. They had 3 children. Son Cliff Robert Weisinger who suddenly passed away last year and first wife Kellie, son Michael Scott Weisinger married to Camille, and daughter Laura Weisinger Sherrod married to Kurt Sherrod. John Earl has 7 grandchildren. Grandson Michael Weisinger married to Brittany, granddaughter Sara Elizabeth Taylor married to John, grandson Cameron Weisinger and girlfriend Ana, grandson Kristofer Weisinger married to Kimberly, granddaughter Victoria Sherrod and boyfriend Travis, grandson Jacob Sherrod and grandson Caleb Weisinger. John has 8 great grandchildren. David, Nolan, Lorali, Emmett, Boone, Tate, Zachariah and Brent. He also has numerous nieces and nephews. John Earl is also survived by his sister Gertie Spencer

A visitation for John Earl will be held Saturday March 8, 2025, from 9:00am to 10:00am at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Tx 77303, followed by a funeral service from 10:00am - 11:00am

John Earl will be remembered as a hard-working, fun-loving man who dedicated his life to his family, friends, and community. His legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and the love of water will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

John was a very good friend to all of us in the Water Well industry. I had the good fortune to work with John and his boys on several projects and he was always willing to lend a hand when anyone needed help. A true leader in the industry and will be sorely missed by all of us in the Water Well industry.
