Orlando Mateos Obituary

Orlando Mateos, age 63 of Magnolia, Texas passed away on October 5, 2025.

He was born on December 5, 1961 in Guantanamo, Cuba to his loving parents Francisco Mateos and Alina Lafarga Mateos.

He was brought to the United States becoming a citizen at 14 months old during the Cuban Revolution. He went to St. Ambrose Catholic school and graduated from St. Piux X High School in Houston, Texas. He worked in the petrochemical industry as a pipe designer for 25 years. His passions included football, basketball, fishing, and fast cars.

He was preceded in death by his spouse Helen Mateos, grandparents Francisco Mateos Sr, Carmen Carbo Mateos, Ismael Lafarga, and Alicia Delgado Lafarga.

He is survived by his parents Francisco and Alina Mateos, daughter and son-in-law Crystal and Scott Kindler, grandchildren LeAnn and Reese Wilson and Lance Dromgoole.

The family is having a private gathering to celebrate his life on Oct. 21, 2025.
