Ronald Foster Obituary

Ronald Joe Foster "Ron" born 11-30-1941 in Beaumont Tx, son to William David "WD" and Mildred Foster, passed away at age 81 on 01-12-2023 under the care of Oasis Hospice, in Conroe Texas.

He was a graduate of Alvin High School, class of 1959, and was involved in several extracurricular activities and clubs. After graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Airforce. While in the Airforce he met his future wife, Marjorie "Tiny" Fuller. They were married February 8, 1963 in Hampton Virginia.

After his enlistment was up, he and Tiny settled in the Woodlands and Conroe area.

Ron and his business partner, the late Faye Monroe, owned and operated the Woodland Glass company for over 40 years.

Ron was active in several photography and wildlife groups. He loved photography particularly of wildflowers and "critters".

Although he continued to run his business in his later years, he loved being outdoors on his property in Willis. He loved to dabble in gardening and watch wildlife on his property. He was always very gracious to visitors and was a friend to many people.

He was predeceased by his brother Roger Dale Foster, his parents, and his loving wife.

He is survived by his only son, Blake Jehle (Bobbie) of New Waverly, his three granddaughters: his sister Sue Moore of Santa Fe, his brother Wayne Foster of Bay City, his sister Leta Griffin (Tom) of Fredericksburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by special friends Carol Monroe Wolfe and family, and Gabriel Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a donation to a charity of your choice be made or to Oasis Hospice of Conroe.

A "Celebration of Ron's Life" is being scheduled at a later date. If you would like to be included in the details for this event, please email Blake at [email protected].

Thank you for letting us know of dear Ron's passing. Over the years he was a tremendous help to us here at the Church of Saint John, volunteering many hours on the land. He was always so very willing to help, both personally and for the friends he had here at Church. Bless you Ron and thank you!
