Sharon Reinhardt Obituary

Memorial Service for longtime Conroe resident, Sharon Ann Reinhardt, will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the April Sound church with Pastor Keith Sobus officiating. A reception will follow for family and friends.

Prior to the Memorial service, a Graveside Service is being held on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Kress cemetery in Kress, Texas. A reception for family and friends will follow at Kress Senior Citizen Center, 302 Skipworth Ave, Kress, TX 79052.

Sharon was born on May 1, 1942, in Stamford, Texas to Henry and Irene Thomas. She passed away peacefully into the hands of our Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in The Woodlands, Texas at the age of 80.

Sharon grew up on the family farm in Kress, Texas. She graduated from Kress high school where she was a 5'1" basketball player and cheerleader for the Kress Kangaroos. Sharon then went on to study at Texas Tech University. She married her beloved Charles in September of 1960 at the Church of Christ church in Kress, Texas and began building their life together. After several moves from Odessa to Houston they landed in Conroe in 1972, a perfect place to raise their two young children. Sharon worked in the Oil industry for a short time before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom which suited her well. She was an avid painter who loved to create beautiful pieces and became a dutiful volunteer for many organizations. Sharon volunteered for over 20 years at Conroe Regional Hospital where she helped run the gift shop. She was also very active in the River Plantation Garden Club, the April Sound Ladies Association, and her Ladies Bible Study. She and Charles are active members of April Sound church where they have met many of their longtime friends.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and her only son Craig Reinhardt.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 62 years Charles Reinhardt of April Sound, her daughter Tippi Reinhardt of The Woodlands, her sister Janice Patterson of Amarillo and her four children and numerous other relatives and loved ones.

I was so sorry to see that Sharon had passed away.
We were friends at Kress before I moved to Olton in the 7th grade. We continued to stay in touch throughout our lives at Christmas and our birthdays. We even had at least two birthday parties together as our birthdays were only a couple of days apart.
I visited her twice in our adulthood when I was in Houston.
I was thinking of her today since I had not heard from her at Christmas or our birthdays. (I was remiss this year and didn´t get a card off to her either). I googled her name and saw the obituary. I was so saddened by the news. I have very fond memories and send my condolences to her family.

Aunt Sharon was thirteen when her six-year-older and only sibling brought me into their world. Her love and closeness has stayed with me ever since. Her kindness and thoughtfulness are only exceeded by her generosity. I am eternally grateful to have her in my life.
