Betty Sweeden Obituary
Betty I. Sweeden, age 88, of Atkins, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Arkansas Hospice Center at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. She was born September 1, 1936, in Bay to Richard E. and Fleeta Howell Davis.
She attended Restoration Church and retired after over 30 years as a USDA inspector.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include her three children and their spouses, Terrie and Randy Duvall of Atkins, Tim and Carla Warren of Russellville and Bill Sims and Jim Campbell of Maumelle; a sister, Gearldene Huckaby; and a brother, Fred Davis, both of Atkins; three grandchildren, Pete Duvall, Kala Strickland and Christopher Sims; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. James Findley officiating. Burial will be private under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home.
