Cliff Welcher, 70, of Malvern, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at his home.
The son of JB and Margaret Blanche Shinn Welcher, he was born Nov. 12, 1952, in Russellville. He married Rhonda Wolf, on Feb. 14, 2020, at Salem. He was a Truck Broker with P Clark and Associates. He was a member of the of the Calvary's Cross Cowboy Church where he served as the worship leader and a member of the Central Arkansas Steel Guitar Association.
Cliff loved country gospel music and began singing at the age of three with his family. Among his accomplishments, he recorded an album named the River Valley Boys and the Townsmen, funded in part by the Hensons and was very proud of his time served with The Arkansas State Police.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Welcher; his son, Scottie Welcher and a brother, Louis Welcher.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Welcher of Malvern; daughter, Brandie Staten (John) of Greenbrier; two grandchildren, Faith and Savannah Staten both of Greenbrier; a stepson, Scott Wolf of Jacksonville and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at Calvary's Cross Cowboy Church in Malvern. Bro. Gary Duvall and John Staten will officiate.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
