Gerald E. McAnulty, age 90, of Russellville, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 13, 1931, in Maple Springs, to Archie and Lucy Elsie Jordan McAnulty.
He was a long-time member of First Assembly of God, and most recently Gateway Pentecostal Church of God in Russellville. He was a former employee of International Shoe Company, Morton Frozen Foods and Dow Chemical Company, in addition to retiring from the Arkansas Army National Guard after 23 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iladene McAnulty; a son, Dane McAnulty; two sisters, Jewell Ross and Nina Jean Hipps; and brother, George McAnulty.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Zane and Mary McAnulty of Phenix City, Ala., and Dale and Neletta McAnulty of Dardanelle; a sister-in-law, Betty McAnulty of Haysville, Kan.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Vinson, the Rev. Levan Hubbard, and the Rev. Mike Norberg officiating.
Burial with military honors provided by the Army National Guard will be in Bowden Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Andy McAnulty, Danny Carr, Andrew Dickison, Keith Maston, Luke Chronister and Corky McConnell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Chenowith, Freddie Bowden, Tommy Bowden, Travis Hill, Glen Latham, Billy Latham and the Staff at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Memorials may be made to Gateway Pentecostal Church of God, designated for Youth Fund, 2318 S. Elmira Ave, Russellville, AR 72802.
