Lonnie Qualls Obituary

Lonnie Ray Qualls was born on Feb. 19, 1932 in Clarksville to Eddie Lee Qualls and Lillie A. (Penland) Qualls. He passed away on Feb. 23, 2023, in Russellville, at the age of 91.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jim Qualls; and his sisters, Mae Qualls, Stella Rankin, Ann Autry, and Georgia Chamberlain.

He is survived by his wife, Levada (Mathis) Qualls; his son, Bryan and wife, Laura Qualls; his daughters, Karen and husband, Pat Hilton; Kathy and husband, Carl Ramsey; his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his brother, Frank Qualls.

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. before the Celebration of Life on Friday, March 3, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Clarksville in Clarksville.

Celebration of Life begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Clarksville, with Reverend Darrell Bridges officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are all former athletes and students. Interment will take place at a later date in Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of the Ozarks or to First Baptist Church of Clarksville Building Fund.
