Opal Rector Obituary
Opal Irene Rector, age 78, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at Pink Bud Nursing Home Center in Greenwood.
Opal was born Nov. 26, 1942, in Sugar Grove, to the late Arzeal and Julie Marie Yarber Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold Smith; sisters, Emma Wilkins, Sandra Walker and Janice Smith.
Survivors include her children, Bob Nelms and Stella Bird both of Waveland, and Dianna Nelms of Russellville; brothers, Buster Smith, Charlie Smith, Billy Smith, Thomas Smith, Glynn Smith all of Booneville; Mary Ramirez of Van Buren; grandchildren, Bobby Potter, Caitlin Green, Cori Wright, Allen Leonard, Steven Cline, Dillon Nelms and Christian Nelms; several great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home Danville and River Valley Crematory Dardanelle.
