Rachel Curtis, age 90, of Dover, was lifted up to her Heavenly Home on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Feb. 16, 1931, in Pelsor, to Elmer and Myrtle Gregory.
Rachel truly loved her Lord and Savior, her church family and had a special love and respect for the women in her Tuesday bible class. Her appetite for God's word was never satisfied, and her desire to live those words was unwavering.
Without any doubt, Rachel's greatest joy and pride was being a mother, a mother who passed on her love of God, her love of gardening, the importance of giving, the value of love and kindness and so much more to her daughter, Sandra.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years, Troy Hugh Curtis; daughter, Sandra Louise Boatright; sister, Janice Warren; and brother, Grady Gregory.
She is survived by two sisters, Genice (Bill) Burkhart and Donna Ann (Walter) Taylor; son-in-law, Alan Boatright; along with many other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Dover Church of Christ, with Bro. Micah Williams and Bro. Alan Boatright officiating.
Burial will be at McFadden Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center and Kindred Hospice for going above and beyond in the care of Mrs. Curtis. Their loving kindness will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Curtis would want you to consider donations in her honor to The Church of Christ Smile Box Mission Fund, P.O. Box 299, Dover, AR, 72837.
