AGE: 89 • Voorhees

On June 5, 2011, age 89, of Voorhees.

Devoted husband of 69 years to Alice M. (nee Dean). Beloved Father of Alice McFerren. Loving grandfather of Dwayne, Scott, and Rebecca. Great grandfather of Zackary, Morgan, and Craig.

Alvin served in the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked as a pressman and supervisor for Curtis Publishing in Philadelphia for 25 years, and then was a supervisor for Wyeth Labs for 15 years.

Services for the family will be private under the care of the Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, Collingswood.

I have so many fond childhood memories of Mr. and Mrs. Irvine. You guys were such an important part of my life and the lives of my grandparents. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers through this tragic and trying time.
