Of Cherry Hill where she lived for 52 years died peacefully on Ascension Day May 17 2007 age 86.
Devoted wife of the late Charles J. Mangiaracina and loving mother of Charles Manning and his wife Ellen of Garden City NY Trudie Glazewski and her husband Richard of Chalfont PA Mary of Cherry Hill Margie and Rich of Cherry Hill Joseph of Margate NJ and Paul and his wife Linda of Drexel Hill PA. Loving grandmother of Carolyn Charles and Christine of Garden City NY. Dear sister of Dorothy Golden of Jermyn PA the late Robert Wiegand and the late Walter Wiegand. Loving aunt of Mary Robert Richard Janet Laurie Walter Patty Michael and the late Katie.
Mrs. Mangiaracina was born on Flag Day 1920 to August andGertrude (nee Weidner) Wiegand in Scranton PA and was raised in nearby Jermyn. She was a graduate of Marywood College Scranton and attended ColumbiaUniversity in NYC. She achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant in the US Army was a veteran of the Korean War and served as a Registered Dietitian at Walter Reed Army Hospital Washington DC. Previously she worked at St. Vincent's Hospital in NYC. Later in life she became a Registered Nurse. She was active in her church St. Peter Celestine as a member of Altar and Rosary the Legion of Mary and a Retreat Master at St. Pius X Retreat House Blackwood NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at SCHETTER FUNERAL HOME 304 Marlton Pike W Cherry Hill Sunday 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Monday 11:00-12:00. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Celestine Church 402 Kings Highway N Cherry Hill Monday at 12:30 PM.Interment Calvary Cemetery Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Sacred Heart School 1739 Ferry Ave. Camden NJ 08104.
