Mike and Yale,
We are very sorry for your loss. I regret that I will not be able to attend her funeral. Although I didn't know her well, she always struck me as a wonderful person. She will always be with you. You guys were her pride and joy.

DEAR YALE AND MICHAEL, MY FRIEND BARBARA WHOM I'VE KNOWN FOR SIXTY YEARS WAS ALSO MY SISTER. "YES, WE CALLED OURSELVES SISTERS". HER KINDNESS, HER WARMTH, HER WIT, HER OUTGOING NATURE COULD NOT BE SURPASSED. SHE WAS A LOVING STRONG FORCE IN MY LIFE. THAT LOVE WILL ALWAYS REMAIN WITH ME AND KEEP ME STRONG. Please know that Barbara and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Barbara is a great lady and I'll miss her wit and sense of humor and will always remember fondly being her "date" at dinner. She really DID have a boyfriend here in the North...I'm one of her biggest fans. I hope that the memories can help you smile as that's what she'd want. I asked Gail to meet her and say Hi so she'll be in good hands as she reunites with your Dad. Let me know if you need anything at all!
