Carl Tarrach Obituary

Age 70 died at home on October 23 2003 following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on October 5 1933 in the town of Lake Tract Deptford NJ to Laura H. Tarrach and the late Carl W. Tarrach Sr. and was affectionately known as 'Bros' by his family and friends.
He attended Central Grade School and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1951. Carl served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict on the USS Glynn and attained the rank of EN3.
On April 25 1953 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth M. Hagmaier in National Park NJ.
Following his Honorable Discharge from the US Navy he returned to work with his father at Tarrach's Atlantic an automobile repair business in Woodbury NJ operated since 1931. In 1969 Carl purchased the business from his father now Tarrach's Service Center which he successfully operated until his retirement in 2000.
Carl was a member of the Improved Order of Redmen where he obtained the office of Great Sachem of the State of New Jersey and was a member of the Great Council of the United States.
Carl also belonged to the Florence Masonic Lodge in Woodbury and the Excelsior Consistory of 32nd degree Masons in Collingswood. He supported many local organizations throughout his life.
Carl is survived by his wife Betty his son Carl (and Inez) of Newark DE his daughter and her husband Denise and John Marconi of Alloway his son Chris (and Carolyn) of Deptford; eight grandchildren: Bridget Tarrach Lindsey Marconi Brenna Tarrach Kayla DeSeta Carl Terrach IV Carla Tarrach Victoria Tarrach and Jessica Tarrach.
Also his beloved mother Laura Tarrach of Deptford and his sister Ethel Sink of Oakland NJ; nieces nephews other relatives and many friends further survive him.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday October 29 at DAVIS FUNERAL HOME 171 Delaware St. Woodbury NJ. The Rev. Ernest Spangler will officiate. There will be Viewings on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill NJ 08034. Burial will be in Eglington Cemetery.
