Carol Oppermann Obituary

OPPERMANN,Carol A. (nee Williams), age 61, of Medford, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Born in Delanco, Carol resided in Medford for the last 32 years. She graduated from Lenape High School in 1967, and attended Rider University in Lawrenceville. Carol was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, Medford, and served terms as PTA Treasurer, Vice President and President with St. Mary of the Lakes School. Carol was involved with Worldwide Marriage Encounter, St. Mary's pre-cana, and the soup kitchen in Mt. Holly. Carol was employed with Gillespie & Associates in Mt. Laurel as their Senior Bookkeeper. Daughter of the late Robert E. Williams, sister-in-law of the late Ronald Oppermann; she is survived by her husband of 39 years John J. Oppermann; two sons and one daughter-in-law John C. and Lynn Oppermann of Vineland, NJ, and Anthony C. Oppermann of Medford; her mother Alice Day Williams; her mother-in-law, Stella Oppermann; three brothers and a sister-in-law, David, Roger and Kay, and Gary Williams; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Roy Eckert; her brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Tony and Linda Oppermann, and Sharon Oppermann; two grandchildren, Amelea and John; and her nieces and nephews, Tina, Monica, Rachael, Josh, Tracey, Ronnie, Amanda and Ginger. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, October 8, 2010, from 6-8PM, and again on Saturday, October 9, from 9-10AM, at the MATHIS FUNERAL HOME, 58 N. Main St., Medford, (609) 654-2439. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30AM, at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carol's memory to St. Mary of the Lakes School, 196 Rt. 70, Medford, NJ 08055.

Aunt Carol was an amazing person, I think about her every day, she will so greatly be missed by many. She will never be forgotten, our memories of her will always be there. I love you Carol,Uncle John and family, my heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

To Aunt Alice, John and family: I want you to know how sorry we are to learn of Carol's passing. Our family has been out of contact for so long and that is so sad.
