AGE: 91 • Mt. Laurel; formerly Runnemede
Catherine "Kate" S. Byrne (nee Schulz), on December 15, 2016, of Mt. Laurel; formerly of Runnemede. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late John E. Devoted mother of MaryAnne Byrne, Catherine Byrne (William Smythe), Teresa McCarthy (Joseph), Cecilia Schmidt (William), and John E. Byrne, Jr. Loving grandmom of Ryan, Erika, John, Jacqueline, and Brandon. Dear sister of the late Charles and Edward Schulz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Catherine was a member of the Mt. Laurel Garden Club, the St. John Neumann Altar & Rosary Society, and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She also served as a 4-H club leader. Catherine was an amateur painter who excelled at beautiful landscapes. There will be a viewing from 8:15 to 10:15am Thursday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass 11am at Holy Child Parish. St. Teresa RC Church, Runnemede. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine's memory to St. Teresa Regional School, 27 E. Evesham Road, Runnemede, NJ 08078. Catherine and I spent many years sitting across from each other at work. She was a very smart, strong, classy, independent, creative, and kind lady.
