AGE: 81 • Deptford

Dick Woehrle "TV Ref" on March 12, 2012, of Deptford, formerly of Scranton, PA. Age 81.

Beloved husband of Judi A. (nee Roth). Father of Nancy Woehrle of Mantua and Kristin Woehrle-Pawlowski (Joseph Paul) of Mantua. Brother of Janice Burke of Swedesboro. Grandfather of Alexis, Brooke and Corinne.

Dick was a well recognized TV referee for the World Wrestling Federation. He was also a promoter of shows around the northeast and the Caribbean. He was a Korean War Army veteran and coached Deptford Girls Softball and Soccer and avidly followed his granddaughter's sports activities. He was a member of the Mason Lackawanna Royal Arch Chapter #185 and the Peter Williamson Lodge #323 in Scranton, Melita-Coeur de Lion Commandery #17 Knights Templar and the Irem Shrine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing Friday 5:30pm to 8pm at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Dr., Deptford. Funeral service 8pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, 30 East Main St., Amsterdam, NY 12010. I did not know Dick Woehrle but he was the greatest ref in the old WWWF. I met him very briefly once in Wildwood NJ at a match. He was very polite, personable and gladly signed autographs.

You were our Moms friend That took my little brother and I to see our first professional wrestling match. Best seats in the house! You were " that little tough guy that could beat up the wrestlers" That was 196? at the jersey devil hockey arena. Great memories live forever.
