Domenica Elizabeth Vicario, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Saturday, March 24 at the age of 95. During her lifetime, she worked as a personal assistant to the head buyer at Strawbridge Dept. Store and Clothier in Philadelphia, PA; a forth grade teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas School in Philadelphia, PA; and at a bank in South New Jersey. However, her most beloved role was that of being a loving mother to her children, a caring homemaker to her family, and a devoted wife to her husband.

Domenica is survived by her children; son, Michael Angelo Vicario, of Raleigh; daughter, Jo-Anne and husband, M. Grant Ludwig, Jr., of Raleigh; daughter, Mary Elizabeth and husband, Rev. Neale Ruffert, of Dallas, TX; and daughter, Eileen and husband, Warren Williams, of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Marguerite Schive of Edgewater Park, NJ; as well as 16 grandchildren, including grandson, M. Grant Ludwig, III, and granddaughter, Kristina Elizabeth Ludwig, both of Raleigh; and 20 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles Frederick Vicario, and beloved sons, Charles Frederick Vicario, Jr. and Thomas Michael Vicario.

On Tuesday, April 3, at 10am, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church in Philadelphia, PA. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA. Because of Domenica's lifelong devotion to the Carmelites in Philadelphia, in lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to Carmelite Monastery, 1400 W. 66th Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19126.
