Donna Silverman Obituary
Philadelphia, PA - Apr. 29, 2020. Wife of Gary Silverman. Mother of Daniel (Taryn) Silverman and Leanne (James) Levine. Grandmother of Avery, Parker and Abe. Sister of Carol (Alan) Silberstein. Donna earned her law degree from Rutgers University and practiced as an attorney in Southern NJ. She was a past chair of the Arts Books and Culture Festival at the Katz JCC and served on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Southern NJ. Due to the pandemic funeral services are private. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Billy and Jake Loew Pantry Partners Fund, www.jfcssnj.org or Philabundance, www.philabundance.org

It seems silly posting this over a year after Donna´s passing but I feel compelled to do so. I just learned of her death. My wife and I worked with Donna at Booz Allen and Hamilton in Philadelphia before she went to law school. We worked closely together often traveling to NYC to do transportation studies. We were kindred spirits. She and my mom went to the same all girls high school, Battin, in Elizabeth, NJ. Although I hadn´t seen her in many years I thought of her often. My thoughts are with Gary and their kids. RIP my friend.

So terribly sorry to hear of Donna's illness and passing. May she rest in eternal peace. Donna was a pleasure to get to know in our WW meetings throughout the years and was such an inspiration to many! She'll be greatly missed by us all. Deepest sympathy to all her loved ones.

Donna was a dear friend who held a vibrant passion for life. Her values, which she imparted to all whom she touched, were supreme. Most importantly, she was a woman who commanded ones deepest respect. RIP
