I loved Ms. Boyd like she was part of my family. It's hard to believe she's gone, but I know she's in a better place. Everytime I saw her she would ask me about my family and made sure I was doing well - she will be missed dearly. My warmest condolences go out to her friends and family.

In times of pain we all need a source of release to help us through it, you the Boyd family are truly blessed to have that, even with such a great loss. The life that Doreen gave to the world and those who knew and loved her speaks volumes to the kind and wonderful person that she was. Know that love will keep her in our hearts and minds and find comfort in that you were and will always be a big part of that. Mrs Boyd I will always remember the the love and acceptance you gave to me when in Jr and Sr high I would visit your home with Pudgy and it is no surprise to me that Doreen was the giving and loving person we all knew.
Please find comfort in the love that you shared.

Doreen was a free spirit. She knew what she wanted in life and was not afraid to go for it! I will keep the family in prayer.

Doreen and my sister Diane has always been very close friends. Inseparable at times. I reflect back on growing up in such a large family and Doreen was like my 8th sister. I remember Doreen and Diane's younger years. Always full of laughter,fun glamour and trouble. I always looked up to Doreen for she has been there on numerous occasions for my family and I. When dealing with my parents death she helped to ease the pain. Her sense of humor would always put a pleasant smile on your face even when you didn't feel like smiling. If any of my family members had a need she would always offer a hand. I will always remember the beautiful and vivacious woman she was but most of all her kind heart. This is a story I would love to share: I was in high school and I was going to my prom. My sister, Diane outfitted me with lovely attire for my prom. My prom date and I were in a major dilemma because we couldn't afford a limo. We exhausted all of our resources that's when Diane told me to give Doreen a call to see if she could assist. I called her to explain my need. She said, "Don't worry Deb, I will call you back in a few minutes." Well, I was walking on eggshells until she called me back. She finally called with a cheerful voice saying, " I have a solution to your problem." I was thrilled! She said, "You can use one of the funeral car because we won't need it for the weekend." She said, "It's all black and it will actually look like a limo." My date and I were elated. We drove up to the prom in style without anyone ever knowing that we were driving in a funeral car. I will never forget this kind gesture and how happy she made that wonderful day for me.
I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Boyd family, particularly Asia & Urie. You were blessed with a wonderful mother and I know you both will continue her legacy of love. We will always be your extended family and if you ever need anything please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We love you and may God Bless you.
