AGE: 87 • Barrington
(nee Force) On August 6, 2016 of Barrington, NJ age 87. Beloved wife of the late John J., Sr. Devoted mother of John J., Jr. (Kathy), Ken (Kathi), and Lori Dobbins (Glenn, Sr.). Loving grandmother of Jenn (Erik), Beth (Bill), Glenn, Jr., John, III, Michael, Christian, Patrick, and the late Allison. Great-grandmother of Leigh-Anne and Susan. Also survived by her devoted friend Sr. Catherine Mulcahy and her canine companion Nellie. Betty was a 1947 graduate of Camden Catholic HS. She moved to Barrington in 1953 after her marriage. Betty was an active member of the community serving on both the 50th and 75th Anniversary committees, was instrumental in the installation of the electric poles used for the traditional Christmas decorations and in 1966 was named Citizen of the Year. In addition to her civic involvement Betty was a charter parishioner of the former St. Francis de Sales parish and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for over 25 yrs earning her the Clara Barton Award. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and again on Wednesday morning from 8:15-9:15 am at POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 4th Ave & Kings Hwy, Haddon Heights, NJ. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Convent, 424 E. Browning Rd, Bellmawr, NJ 08031. Lori, John and Family - I am so very sorry for the loss of your mom. I was out of town and just found out, or I would have been there to give you all hugs. She was a very lovely lady, and she did make me laugh. You are all in my prayers.

Judy and I have Betty in our prayers. She was a good family friend growing up during all the years we lived across the street and a particularly good friend to our Mom (Alice Koch) before (and after) she passed on.
