Loving father of Joseph Freitag of Newfield, NJ, Jessica Freitag of Pittsgrove, NJ, Daniel Freitag of Pittsgrove, NJ and Eric Freitag of Westmont, NJ. Loving Step-father of Erin, Kevin and Bridget Settles all of Westmont, NJ. Dear son of Emma Jo Freitag of Newfield, NJ. Brother of Val Freitag (Tina) of Newfield, NJ and Mark Freitag (Jill) of Mt. Laurel. Grandfather of Ava & Jayden. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & friends. Eric was truly an easy going, fun loving man. He was the proud owner of All American Termite and Pest Control who could easily have called each customer a friend. Sports were his passion, the bowling and men's softball leagues have also lost a friend. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service Monday, July 28th 1 PM at First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, 124 Kings Hwy E. Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Eric's memory may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Southern NJ Chapter, 528 Fellowship Rd., Unit B, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. With great shock and sadness I am stunned to so belated hear the news of Eric's passing. Worked with him for many years at Statewide bug out, played softball with him on several teams, went through a divorce at the same time and shared many of laughs together. Funny how you don't see somebody for a short period of time and something like this happens and you just wish you had checked in. Great sadness and his family will be in my prayers.

I was in homeroom with Eric a couple years in high school. He used to come over and talk about the weekend football scores and analyze the games.
We ran in some of the same after school pick up sports circles. I played football, softball, all kinds of ball with Eric and a bunch of guys. I saw the news of Eric's passing on facebook, posted by one of those guys - Greg Dixon.
I lost track of Eric after high school, but I wanted to leave a message here; we move through life and people touch us in ways big and small. I hadn't thought of Eric in years but when I read the news it was like I was back in 10th grade again, listening to Eric talk sports and crack jokes with that easy smile.
I read here that he was a grandfather already. What a full life. To the Freitag family: my deepest condolences for your loss.

Eric was a kind soul who gave freely of his time. I had recently moved to New Jersey and had the opportunity to co-coach with Eric and he turned that season into one of the most memorable experiences. Eric was always enthusiastic, funny, and fair, and I will miss him dearly.

Much too young to leave us. Eric, so generous as he participated in life with sensitivity that he unselfishly shared with customers, especially by extending help to me many times following my husband's death. My prayers and sympathy are with his family.

To Lisa and Family, I knew Eric for 20 plus years and cannot think of one person that had something bad to say about him. He was a true gentleman with a good heart. He was a great friend to have and I enjoyed his company. He was as honest as a guy could be and everyone respected him. Everyone should have a friend like Eric in their life as they would be a better person for it. The world was definitely a better place with him in it. My deepest condolences go out to you.

Emma Jo, Val, Mark and the entire Freitag family, there aren't words that can properly express how deeply sorry I am for the loss of Eric. I knew him as a little boy at the Lake, but lost touch with all of you when Rich, Kristin, Richie and I moved to the other side of town. I think Eric was around 8 years old when we left. Reading all the Facebook comments and the entries in the Guest book shows me he grew into a well-loved and respected adult. Your hurt will lessen over time and your happy memories will fill that spot.

Dear Freitag Family, I spoke with Eric several weeks ago when he introduced me to Dan to do my routine exterminating. I have known Eric for so many years. Eric was just starting out in his profession. The boys would come with. And now the kids are all grown. We always talked kids, baseball and hockey.
