Esther Spratley Obituary
AGE: 74 • Paulsboro
Esther Sandra Spratley (nee Kidd), age 74, of Paulsboro, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 21, 2017.
Legacy
A strong and confident woman, Esther dedicated her life to her family. She graduated Paulsboro High School class of 1960 and went on to work for the US Post Office and then the Social Security Administration where she later retired. Esther was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, loved gardening vegetables and flowers and was an animal lover. She was passionate about education, world affairs and always made sure the kids were taken care of around the holidays. A kind and caring soul among us, Esther will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.
Family
Treasured daughter of the late Macon and Alice (nee Johnson); devoted mother of Jeffrey M., his wife Arleen and Sandra Spratley; dear sister of Macon, William, Floyd, Cornelius (Ann) and the late Charles, Louis and Alice Clifton; cherished grandmother of Deja; loving aunt and godmother of Dina Clifton; Esther leaves behind her furry companion, her dog, Jay-Z.
Farewell Ceremony
Relatives and friends are invited to Esther's viewing on Thursday, March 30th from 9-11AM at the Second Baptist Church of Paulsboro, 1540 Swedesboro Avenue, Paulsboro, NJ 08066. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mount Royal, NJ. Arrangements under the care of the McGuinness Funeral Home.
