Dearest Barone family,
Today 1.36.2011] it finally occured to me I might be able to locate Dr. Barone via Google. Now only to find he has passed on...I am horribly saddened as he was so dear to me. I was his patient [I felt part of his family]since a young child. My mother and father, even my grandparents, were patients of his in Miami. The last time I saw him I was in Miami for a visit and became ill and was admitted to the hospital [this was 37 yrs ago!]. I recall him making house calls when I was little and I always knew when he'd arrived as I could hear the squeak of his shoes:) I only have the fondest, loving memories of my dear doctor and hate that I missed telling him how much he meant to all of us. Dear family, know that Barney C. Hammock, Alma Hammock, Joan Hammock, Fred Hammock and Trina Hammock Wright will miss him terribly. I will be praying for you in your loss.

In Christ,

I always thought of your family as our relatives on 22nd Avenue because we enjoyed so many times together. Reading my siblings postings and remembering our families, getting together always involved LOTS of food! The years have past, but the memories have not faded. We will always hold your family in our hearts, and your loss is our loss. Much love~

Dear Barby, Susan, Cathy, Joanne and Frank, Really a nice piece about your dad. I loved coming over to your house -- two kitchens, a pool room and a built in bar -- he really knew how to live and I will cherish the exposure to the varitety of wonderful food he (and your mom) prepared. I vividly remember the day you moved in and we circled your house like vultures waiting for you all to notice us! I remember the sadness I felt when your motor home pulled out and how I waiting to get letters from Cathy. Then, I was ecstatic when the motor home pulled back in after your summer vacation! It is an honor to have been part of all the family gatherings and I cherish all of those memories. Love you all! GINNY
