On April 13 1999. Former N.J. State Senator Hugh A. Kelly Jr. Age 75 of the Glen Oaks section of Gloucester Twp. Dearly beloved husband of Irene (nee Dobies) and loving father of Jean K. Townsend and husband William A. of Haddonfield Patricia K. Gerle and husband Steven J. of Washington Twp. Thomas P. and wife Kathleen Turner of Haddonfield Timothy L. and wife Coleen of Gloucester Twp. Michele Stark and husband Joseph W. of Haddon Heights Daniel and wife Dr. Berni of CA Michael of CA and Colleen Miller and husband Brian of Bellmawr. He is also survived by a brother John of Mass ten grandchildren William A. Townsend Jr. of Washington Twp. Neil A. and Laurie M. of Haddonfield Kelley E. Paranzino of Washington Twp. Gene Evans III of Washington Twp. Ryan T. and Alaina K. of Haddonfield Timothy P. of Gloucester Twp. Emily and Devin Stark of Haddon Heights Connor P. of CA and three great grandchildren Brett Mc Laughlin of Washington Twp. and Bianca and Danielle Paranzino of Washington Twp. Mr Kelly served as the Chairman and Commissioner of the Atlantic City Expressway and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the John F. Kennedy Memorial University Medical Center since 1968. He was serving as a member of the South Jersey Port Corporation's Board of Directions and the Ports of Philadelphia and Camden. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Friday April 16 at St. Agnes R.C. Church 701 Little Gloucester Rd. Blackwood. Viewings will be after 6:00 p.m. Thursday night and again Friday morning after 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment St. Josephs Cemetery Chews Landing Gloucester Twp. The family requests donations be given to St. Mary's Alumni Assoc. c/o Hugh A. Kelly Jr. Scholarship Fund 64 Chestnut St. Rutherford NJ 07070 or the St. Agnes Building Fund 701 Little Gloucester Rd. Blackwood 08012. The services are under the direction of the Addison G. Bradley of THE FUNERAL MANOR Gloucester Twp. 609-228-6900.
