Howard Edward Kelly

Howard Edward Kelly, age 85, of Barrington, RI, passed away at home on March 24th 2026. Born in Pittsfield, MA, he was the youngest of three born to the late Howard and Margaret Kelly. He was the loving husband of Kathleen Kelly whom he adored, and together they enjoyed 45 years of marriage. When they met it was like kismet - they felt like they were meant to be. They shared a life of love, laughter, and devotion to one another. He put his family first and enjoyed doting on his daughter by marriage, Catherine "Kate" Webb, daughter-in-law Jennifer Webb, and granddaughter Addison Webb, whom he lived with for the last ten years. He was known for leaving surprise treats from the local bakery, fixing anything and everything around the house (he was a true MacGyver), and gestures of gratitude which he expressed often to those in his life. He never met a stranger; and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and his optimistic and positive spirit was contagious. He was a wonderful person, who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Kelly; his stepdaughter, Catherine Webb (Jennifer Webb); and his stepsons, James Webb (Maya Webb), Douglass Webb, Russell Webb (Pam Webb), and Matthew Webb; his children, Howard Kelly Jr., Charles Kelly, Andrew Kelly, and Peter Kelly; his sister, Regina Haddaway; and his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Webb, Max Webb, Kayla Webb, Devin Webb, Siobhan Webb, and Addison Webb. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Kelly.
