AGE: 95 • Pennsauken, formerly of Mt. Ephraim
Jack Kaoru Fujiki of Pennsauken, formerly of Mt. Ephraim, died on November 19, 2016, at the age of 95.
Devoted son of the late Tomegoro and Misaye Tsumoto Fujiki, Beloved husband of the late Kimiko Hiwano. Cherished father of Sandra (late Casey) Bazar Kolongowski of Southampton, NJ. Loving grandfather of Kevin (Julie) Bazar of Collegeville, PA and great-grandfather of Wesley and Brooke Bazar. Proud brother of the late Congressional Gold Medal of Honor recipient Shigeru Thomas Fujiki (late Dorothy) of GA, the late Charlie Satoru Fujiki of Florence, Italy, and the late Akira Fujiki, Haruo (Hardy) Fujiki and Satsuki June Fujiki Mercado, all of Bridgeton, NJ. Survived by many loved nieces and nephews.
Jack was employed for 43 years at Farm Journal magazine in Philadelphia. After a stroke, he became a volunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and helped with their Stroke Club. He encouraged stroke patients to rejoin life and never give up. Jack was always a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and his family was his greatest joy. He also adopted many stray dogs and cats.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, November 25, 2016, from 9 to 11 am at TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. Funeral Service to follow at 11 am. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Monkey's House A Dog Hospice & Sanctuary, 820 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312
