Carole Fujiki Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 8, 2025.
Carole Jean Fujiki, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 78.

Born on March 31, 1946, in Walla Walla, Washington, Carole was one of four children of John and Ella Duncan. During her childhood, her family relocated to Colorado, where she spent the remainder of her life and raised her own family.

Carole is remembered most fondly for her kind and generous spirit. Despite not having great material wealth, she gave selflessly to others and consistently placed their needs above her own. Her faith was an important part of her life, as were her deep connections with family and friends. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Carole was an avid collector of old books. She adored animals-especially Boxers-and enjoyed bird watching. Carole also delighted in movie nights with loved ones, hunting for vintage treasures at sales, playing poker with friends, and creating lasting memories with those closest to her.

Carole is survived by her daughter Shawn Patterson; her grandchildren Jessica Pelle and Joshua Pelle; her brothers Jim Duncan and Duke Duncan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons, David Roe and Cary Fujiki; her sister Laura Dallum; and her parents John and Ella Duncan.

Carole's warmth touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she enriched. May the memory of her love and generosity bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
