JACQUELINE BECKER

BECKER--Jacqueline L.,

age 90, of Boca Raton, Florida, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton. Born in New York City, Mrs. Becker was a Vassar graduate who had diverse careers including artist relations specialist at Decca Records in the late 1940's, local and state political activist in Indiana, Florida, and Massachusetts, and real estate agent/broker in Boca Raton. Mrs. Becker valued education and sponsored many scholarships and endowments both at Indiana State University and at Florida Atlantic University. Mrs. Becker was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and the Hon. Judge Frances Lehrich; her husband of 59 years, Herman D. Becker; and her son, Richard L. Becker. Survivors include her daughter Susan M. Becker of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Tracy Bartow of Indianapolis, and Jon D. Becker of Henderson, KY; and great-grandson Max G. Becker, also of Henderson. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
