AGE: 86 • Deptford
Jean A. Fitzgerald (née D'Alessandro), age 86, of the Oak Valley section of Deptford, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2014.
Legacy
A loving and compassionate woman, Jean was devoted to her family, friends and faith. Jean loved reading, listening to opera, watching the Phillies and spending time at the beach. More importantly, nothing made Jean happier than spending time with her family.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Jean graduated from the South Philadelphia High School for Girls as valedictorian and president of her class. She was a resident of Deptford since 1956.
Family
Beloved wife of the late, John H.; Devoted mother of John (Janet) Fitzgerald of Williamstown and Eileen Fitzgerald of Mullica Hill; Loving grandmother of John L. Fitzgerald and Jenna Walker.
Farewell Ceremony
Relatives and friends are invited to Jean's viewing on Tuesday, 8:30 - 10:15 AM at the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11:00 AM Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's RC Church, 3rd and Beech Street, Woodbury Heights, NJ. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org/tribute
