Dear Sue,
I was one of Jerry's nurses (the one with the Cinco de Mayo parties) at Kennedy Surgical Center. I was so truly shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Please know that my thoughts are with you. In the few encounters-- that the three of us had at KSC-- it was EXTREMELY evident the love you two had for one another. The two of you were so much fun each time you came to KSC(I felt like I knew you both forever after just a few visits). I hope you find peace knowing how deeply he loved you and your family. Be thankful for the many years you had together and cherish each and every memory---what a fun loving man! I wish you strength and peace in this most difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Sue and all the Lyons and Sullivan family,
Jerry was a wonderful man and a terrific friend. We are truly at a loss for words. Sue, thanks for bringing him into our lives. You and I have been friends for 35 years and it is evident that the the years you spent with Jerry were the happiest. What a joyful person he was! We will often think of all the nights (and afternoons) we spent on our back porch with you, Jerry and a bottle of wine. Sue, you know we are here for you. We love you.

My sincere sympathy to Jerry's family. I have talked with Jerry via phone for quite a few years. He is one of the nicest guys that I ever had the pleasure of answering API's phone to. No matter how busy Jerry was, he always took time to have a personal chat with me before asking for the person he really called for. I felt like he was a friend. He would tell me about his wife, kids, beach, etc. and always asked what was going on in my life. I was always involved in a Relay for Life Team, Bud's Babes, (founder of API), Jerry and J.L. Erectors were always the first to make a donation to our Team. He would call to see how the Team was doing, how much money we raised, etc. It will sure be weird to me to not have Jerry calling here. He will be truly missed.

Dear Sue, we just got back from a short trip to hear this very sad news. Both Shahroukh and I are shocked. We didn't know Jerry for a very long time but he made a lasting impression on us, he was a true gentleman and I know I will think of him every day when I stand at the school bus stop as this was where I used to see him pass by every day and he would wave at me and the kids. I'm sure you have lots of family around you but you know we are just a minute away should you need anything. Our prayers are with you all.

I was shocked to read of Jerry's death in today's paper.
I met Jerry when we were freshman in high school and we stayed close for a very long time.
I am reading words from other people that I too am saying about Jerry - he was a very special man.
I lost touch with Jerry after we both had married. I had a baby that was very sick and had to be transferred to a specialty hospital soon after she was born. I would spend all day with her in the intensive care nursery - usually alone because everyone had to work. I was there one day feeling very weary when I heard a tap on the glass and there stood Jerry with a bouquet of flowers and that sexy grin of his - I never knew how he found me.
I offer my condlences to his entire extended family and friends - we all are less than we were without him.

Dear Sue and Family,
My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your husband and father.
Jerry was not only my cousin but a wonderful person with great charisma and a contagious smile. I have to smile myself thinking of all the times spent with the Lyons family as a child. As children we rode all over Stratford on our bikes, played in the woods and swam at the swim club. Happy days to cherish and to remember Jerry, my little cousin and friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies to all of Jerry's family especially his wife and three children and all his friends. Jerry was one of my best friends growing up in Stratford, New Jersey. Jerry was a very kind and good friend and we shared a lot of great memories together with his family, growing up together in Stratford and going down the shore in Ocean City and Margate. Jerry's Mom and Dad treated me like one of their own sons as I spent many nights for dinner and overnights at their home in Stratford, in their summer home and boat in Ocean City. Jerry was always their for me in good times and difficult ones. He drove to Kentucky to visit me when I was having a difficult time in college and visited me several times in Pittsburgh to see my family. I have lived in Pittsburgh for the past 33 years and work as a Probation Officer Supervisor and will miss the services and funeral but I will always remember Jerry and his family.
With Sympathy
