Dear John, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You may not remember me, but our families lived across the street from each other in Paulsboro for years. After reading your father's obituary and the other notes in the guest book, I wish very much that I had known your father better. What a wonderful man. Yet even though I did not know him personally, I feel that our families share a certain bond. My own father, the late Joseph Mennite, was a councilman in Paulsboro for many years and was also a municipal judge in Paulsboro for many years. It sounds as if both our fathers were men of honor and integrity, and indeed, the town owes so much to the mayors and councilmen of that era, who protected our town and us when we were growing up. I believe that you and my late brother, John Mennite, were in the same class at Paulsboro High School. And when you yourself entered politics, I followed your career through the reports in the local newspapers that my mother, Filomena Mennite, who was still residing in our brick house across from your family home, received. I hope you won't think it presumptuous of me to sign the guest book when you may not even remember me, or to write so much about my family's history. But I felt compelled to do so, because Paulsboro was such a special place in which to grow up. In a sense, we all knew each other and shared a unique experience of a tight-knit and caring community. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy regarding the passing of your father. May you and your family find peace and comfort. Sincerely, Linda Mennite Giuliano

Our sincere condolences to the entire Burzichelli family. The Mayor was one of the finest gentleman that I have ever met. His word was his bond, and a handshake was as good as gold. The Borough has lost one of it's finest, and we are all better for having known him. May he rest in eternal peace.
